The western part of Europe is very developed. They are very much based on machinery products and have a decently high GDP per capita. Looking through all of the information, all of these Western Europe countries are ranked pretty high in the world rankings. The amount of primary sector jobs throughout Western Europe is pretty low, mostly because the countries are importing many foodstuffs. In some countries, the tertiary and quaternary jobs are more occupied than the secondary jobs, which is a bit surprising.
Most of Western Europe is in the EU, like Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Netherlands, and Luxembourg. These countries tend to have larger percentages of tertiary jobs and lower percentages of primary sector jobs. This may mean that these countries tend to provide better educations, or that they are more developed countries and have many pull factors, influencing people to come to their country and help improve their economy.
